The Diver Medical Technician, Remote Medical Technician, and Emergency Medic Technician programs are taught at the Cornerstone Medical Clinic and Chamber on the Honduran Bay Island of Roatan.    The Bay Islands are often referred to as the “Lost Jewel of the Caribbean”.  

        Located on the second largest barrier reef in the world, they are in fact the furthest  western islands in the Caribbean chain.   Roatan is the largest of the three Bay Islands and offers outstanding dive opportunities. 

         The clinic and chamber, as well as the classrooms, are located on the grounds of Anthony’s Key Resort.  AKR, as it is known in the dive industry, is the premiere diving resort in the Bay  Islands.  The setting, services, and accommodations at AKR are outstanding.  The owners of the resort have achieved a perfect balance, combining beautiful rustic accommodations in a fantastic tropical setting.  

        Special arrangements have been made with Anthony's Key Resort for the students of Cornerstone Medical Services.  Other lodging is available on the island, however; students are strongly recommended to stay at Anthony’s Key Resort due to the class scheduling and facilities location.

Roatan and Anthony's Key Resort can be reached from several US cities including Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and New Orleans.  It is only about a 2 hour flight from one of these gateway cities.  Travel arrangements and lodging can be provided by:

         Lodging at Anthony’s Key Resort consists of cabins nestled on the hillside and on the small island off shore (a 30 second boat ride) of the resort. 

         Cabins are available on the small island (Anthony’s Key) for an additional cost.  Air-conditioned, superior cabins are also available on the Key and on the Hillside.  Availability is limited and there is an additional cost for these cabins.        

        Meals are included in your lodging cost consisting of breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. AKR is offering a special rate of $600.00 USD weekly for students of these programs.

The recommended alternate resort is the Blue Bahia Resort located a short walk, 10 minutes on the road or beach, from Anthony's Key Resort. There is a restaurant and bar service located at this facility and a continental breakfast is provided to lodgers here.

The lodging consists of several apartments with full kitchens, cable TV, Air Conditioning, and free internet access. Two studio apartments are also available, they also are air conditioned, equipped with cable TV and internet access.

Package plans, including 3 meals daily and diving are available at a reduced cost for our students.
